It All Comes Crashing Down

Castle Wyvern
With the anti-Gargoyle sentiment in the city at an all time high, nightly patrols were being cut short. It was a compromise, of sorts, between Goliath and some of the other members of the Clan. They would not abandon their city, but nor would they expose themselves to greater risk. Shorter patrols insured that everyone would be safe within the protective confines of the castle before sunrise. There would be no risk of anyone being caught somewhere else.
Hudson, who'd stayed behind with the beasts and the children, came out to meet the patrol groups. One of Goliath, Elisa, Angela, and Broadway, the other of Brooklyn, Katana, and Lexington.
"'tis most strange," Hudson said, as they touched down.
"What, old friend?" Goliath asked.
"Xanatos and the others lit out of here like a bat out of Hades, after he received some phone call. I do believe the lad actually looked frightened, but I could not tell ye why."
"I don't like this," Brooklyn said.
"Me neither," Elisa added. "Something stinks and it isn't Bronx for once."
Katana remained silent, but her ears twitched as she appeared to be listening to something. "Do you hear a ...helicopter?"
Before any of the others could respond, a helicopter did drop out of the clouds, Quarrymen, hidden behind their black hoods, were visible behind its windshield.
"Steady..." Goliath said, as they all began to spread out, ready for anything.
And then the attack came, a weapon's pod extended from beneath the belly of the helicopter, unleashing a missile. The Clan scattered, out of the way of the explosive, but it continued on, striking one of the tall--and thankfully unoccupied--towers of the castle, blasting it to bits and raining bits of stone down on them.
Another helicopter came, flying lower than the other, Quarrymen dropping from it and landing, hammers at the ready.
