Clan

This would be my Clan, made up of Gargoyles, humans, super-heroes, a vampire, and a cat.  Clan's an important concept for Gargoyles, more than friends, more than family, Clan.

Top row: Goliath, me, Brookly, Katana, Hudson, Broadway, Angela, Faye, Ben
Middle row: Othello, Desdemona, Nina, Bronx, Fu-Dog, Gregory, Harley, Spike
Bottom row: Nashville, Tachi, Matt, Kestrel, my father (Peter), my mother (Diane), my sister (Beth), Cagney (my cat), and... Demona (like it or not, she was part of this Clan once and we've got her sleeping form in our basement.  She's our responsibility, ours to claim and deal with.)

"Yeah. Me too. Been turning over what rocks we could, but no sign of her. Didn't think she was this good at covering her tracks."

"Er... no offense meant to you."

"Non taken. I can't cover my tracks like that, though. Whoever she's teamed up with could be training her."

"Maybe. But... not Xanatos, not Demona, and no one else is that good at hiding..."

"Dear God... no. It can't be..."

"You mean... Thailog? I thought..."

"I thought he was dead too. We all did. But it's the only thing that makes sense. And it would explain the Gargoyle sightings..."

The 'permanently' part bothers Elisa, just a little bit. She was a cop, Gargoyles are warriors, so she understands plenty about sometimes needing to take a life. But to hear it from someone like Faye...

"We will. They haven't beaten us yet."

"Events, eh?" Elisa chuckles. Not necessarily the brightest move, but nothing about the way Harley said it suggested anything bad. "Only reason I know to rush a wedding is..."

Elisa makes an exagerated zipper-gesture across her face. "My lips are sealed. And... congratulations, Harley."

Wait. Hadn't Harley tolder her she couldn't have kids? Puzzlement works its way across Elisa's face.

"It happened after my detox, after Eiko helped me heal from Joker's attack. I think that the detox plus the machine she zapped me with..." Harley shrugged. trying to explain. "It is a miracle. A difficult one, but one all the same."

A lot of times, the family you choose is closer than the family you're born to. Not to say that your blood-human family isn't close, but it's obvious that you're also close to those you've chosen as Clan.

Because the mun got bored and was playing around with MSpaint and his icons.

"No big reason, I guess. Just been thinking about how it started with just the five guys and Bronx and kept growing from there. And come 2018... God, we'll have honest to God babies."
