((I'm going to at least kick things off here, so we can set up a whole division of labor and that kind of thing, even if not everyone's going to be around just yet. Things will likely spill out into some of my other journals as the action gets going.

I'm also going to be just a smidge presumptious in some of the assumptions of who's already gathered. Kakyoin and Gregory-muns, please forgive me.))


It was the fullest the Great Hall of Castle Wyvern had ever been. There was the Manhattan Clan: Goliath, Elisa, Brooklyn, Hudson, Katana, Lexington, Broadway, Angela, the watchbeasts, Bronx and Fu-Dog, and the hatchlings--Gregory (and quite possibly his father as well), Nashville, and Tachi. Many would have prefered to keep them out of this, especially Tachi, but it was quite likely they would be fighting for the very world tonight. They deserved to know what their elders were getting themselves into.

There was the Labyrinth Clan: Talon, Maggie the Cat, Claw, Delilah, Malibu, Brentwood, Hollywood, and Burbank. And of course, Kakyoin, permanent immigrant and Gargoyle LOL subject.

Matthew Bluestone, detective with the NYPD. Former partner to Elisa, ally to the Clan.

David Xanatos, billionaire, schemer, newfound ally. Fox Xanatos, his wife, formerly of the Pack. Owen Burnett, the Puck, trickster, powerless except in protection or instruction of Alexander Xanatos. New allies, all.

And, of course, newfound allies from afar: Ben, Faye, and Harley. Each special in their own way, with histories too long to go into here. The word had been sent, and it was on them that they waited.

It was, quite simply, a council of war.

"Can't we use our own resources to put the majority of the city to sleep or something? So they remain blissful ignorant of the war we are about to engage in? I mean... did not Puck sort of use his magic to do something familiar all ready?"

"I am afraid that is not possible, Miss Quinn," Owen replies. "I am only able to access my powers as Puck when in protection or instruction of Alexander. Per the instructions of Mister and Mrs. Xanatos, he has been placed in the care of his grandfather for the remaining duration of this conflict."

"Well darn it all for that idea..." Harley sighed. "I do have a sleep inducer scientificaly created by Red, but I am afraid that it might affect your police force as well Matt. Including yourself."

Gargoyle Kakyoin: Do electrified yo-yos come standard issue in the Clan army? *Electrified yo-yos was quite possibly the coolest thing GargKakyoin had heard of in a long while. Let's hope he remembered all the old tricks.* Well, why don't we create a distraction, then? While we're fighting off in the middle of nowhere, we can send up a red flag to keep the cops occupied. We go in, blow up some robots, and get out without anyone being any the wiser.

"Some of the police will be diverted when the Pack begins to make their move and our own forces engage them," Goliath says. "And we will require everyone remaining in order to persue out dual attacks."

"Like I said, I'll do what I can to keep anyone from engaging. Offical line on the Gargoyles is not to engage unless absolutely necessary," Matt adds. "You guys have been on shakey ground since this whole thing started. Suspected Gargoyle attacks on a human company..."

"We knew what we were doing when we got into this, Matt," Elisa replies. "If we have to drag our names through the mud in order to stop her... it's still worth it."

"The yo-yo's are easy enough to use," Harley is still playing with hers. "They have five different settings on them from harmless to really really bad."

She noted that it would be better to save Ivy's Bella-Donna mixture for later, in case her group had to get by guards or something like that. She also had to make sure that the Scarecrow fear cannister was still safely stored away.

"I think we have to remember that Demona wanted your names dragged through mud. She will be expecting us. And she will have something up her sleeve to make the clan look really bad in the eyes of the people. All three teams should be careful not to fall into a trap."

"And remember, the bad guys have no problem using innocent people to make the good guys look bad."

"Right," Brooklyn adds. "if she can't make things better for herself, at least she can make things worse for us. She can outwait us, after all."

"So we do this smart. Everybody be wary," Elisa says. "We leave in ten, people. Make sure you're ready. Anyone wants to back out now, we understand."
