It was Manhattan, 1995. Elisa's world. The only major difference being that the skyline included Xanatos's Eyrie building.
For once, Elisa returns from the Nexus with someone else. After all the time she'd spent with Ben, Faye, and Basi, she'd have expected her first 'visitor' to be one of them. Such was not the case. But it was all for a good cause.
She's reappeared outside a large tunnel, blocked by a hefty, although unlocked, gate. It clearly led underground and did not smell all that well. She gives her companion an appologetic smile. "I know it looks bad, but trust me one this one."

Elisa quickly taps a code into the lock built into the door and it opens into a larger chamber. There were many ways into the Labyrinth, but this was the one that Elisa's Clan preferred.
It was still early enough that there were people about and awake. Most of them well, one might have called them homeless, except that it was clear that the underground complex had indeed become a home for these people.
A few looked up at the new arrivals, but they didn't pay them much mind. "Welcome to the Labyrinth," Elisa says to Maddie.

"Got a friend in need, Derek," Elisa replies, waving a hand in Maddie's direction. "This is Maddie. She's had a rough night and needs a safe place to stay for a while."
Derek nods. "Everyone's welcome here, Elisa. You know that." Then, to Maddie. "You're welcome to stay here as long as you like. It's not exactly the Ritz, but it's safe here."

"I'm afraid I'm a little hard to reach directly, but this will put you in touch with a friend of mine, Matt Bluestone. He's a detective, like I used to be. If you leave a message with him, I'll get it."
